The causeway opened more than a century ago and is a key crossing between downtown Kingston and the city's eastern suburbs. Part of it is a Bascule bridge, which uses a counterweight to let boats through. Very interesting tour, beautiful scenery and you also learn more about our Canadian history in that region.
